Dimitri Lera

Dimitri researches bridging of sustainability skills and competencies gap between academia and THE Industry; his PhD titles ‘Mainstreaming of sustainability into THE Education: The Case of Edge Hotel School, University of Essex’ (expect. 2026). He intends to publish in the Journal of Tourism Education and/or the International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education. He has presented papers at the Association for Events Management Education (2019), the 5th Sustainability in Higher Education Conference (2020), the Emerging Research Network (2021), the Advance HE - Teaching and Learning Conference (2022), and the European School of Sustainability Science and Research – World-Symposium (2023). He has contributed to two books, two magazines, media, and is a reviewer for Hospitality Insights. He was awarded the Excellence Educator Award / Excellence in Education for embedding sustainability in the curriculum, is a Slow Food member, and WRAP Ambassador for the Guardians of Grub campaign.
