I have worked as a journalist for fifteen years in the dynamic, challenging environment of Pakistan media Industry. One of the major focuses of my journalism was societal issues and I have contributed to highlight inequalities in the society. Currently, I am a final year PhD student at University of the West of Scotland. As part of Centre for Culture Sports and Events at UWS, I have worked on a research project “FestivalsConnect” investigating the role of events in projection equality diversity and inclusion.
I have been actively engaged with the event organizers, and other stakeholders and have contributed in developing a playbook on EDI, a documentary on the project, and I am currently working on publications with other team members. I have represented CCSE and our work on EDI at international fora.
