Richard Burnett
Richard Burnett joined KB Event as Managing Director on 24th February 2022, with the objective of supporting Stuart McPherson (KB Event CEO) in shaping KB Event’s strategic direction and delivering future growth.
Richard has a wealth of transport experience spanning his 39-year career in logistics, he has worked for many well-known businesses including TDG, Wincanton, Hays, and Samworth Brothers, looking after some of the most prestigious high street names such as Heinz, GSK, Tesco and adidas. His most recent prior appointment was that of Chief Executive at the Road Haulage Association (RHA), and during his 7-year tenure there, transformed the organisation, working tirelessly for the logistics industry, growing the RHA’s profile and membership significantly.
During the past two and half years Richard has helped steer KB Event through many challenges, as the business has adapted to overcome the impacts presented by both Brexit and the COVID pandemic. He and the Board of KB Event are passionate about driving sustainability and have been leading the charge in the specialist event transport sector, with recognition as a Green Guardian’s winner in 2022 and 2024, as well as being instrumental in delivering Massive Attacks 1.5 Bristol Downs Festival in August of 2024.
